Notice of Discontinuation — HID® FARGO® HDP5000 ID Card Printer
All configurations of the HID FARGO HDP5000 ID Card Printer have been discontinued. While the HDP5000 has been a trusted, reliable solution for many years, the time has come to transition to a newer, enhanced model with more advanced options that will better serve our valued customers.
The HDP5000 will be replaced with the HID FARGO HDP5000e. The HID FARGO HDP5000e card printer emerges as the next iteration of FARGO-branded, high definition printing solutions, redefining the standards of reliability, usability, security and printing excellence.Built on the solid foundation of the HDP5000, the HDP5000e offers improved performance, increased print speed, new process efficiencies and several advanced features designed to enhance the overall card issuance experience.
Please also note that the HID OMNIKEY® 5122 contactless encoder will not be available for the new HDP5000e. Instead, contactless encoding for the new HDP5000e will be provided by the HID OMNIKEY 5127CK Mini encoder as noted in the table below:

HID is committed to providing service and support to our customers for three years following product discontinuation, in this case until Dec 31st, 2027.
What will replace current HDP5000 consumables?
As a replacement for the HDP5000 consumables, we are pleased to introduce HDP5K Sync consumables. These consumables, initially designed for the HDP5600 card printer, are fully compatible with the HDP5000 card printer, provided you are using the latest HDP5000 driver and firmware. You can download the most up-to-date drivers and firmware at: https://www.hidglobal.com/drivers.
